Irritable Bowels of Dubai

Did you know that Dubai has one hell of a stinking poop problem? Consider this. The tallest building in the world, Burj Dubai, stands 822.8 meters tall and boasts the fastest elevators in the world, each one of these bad boys will zip you up and down at 64 kilometers per hour. The building holds the highest residential floor and highest observation deck in the world. We should not forget that they also have the worlds highest swimming pool.

I really appreciate the magnificent, beautiful things humans create when they put their mind to it. The only problem, is that when creating such spectacular things we must first think about some of the not so pretty things, like a proper sewer system. What is most amazing, is that building things like sky scrapers and artificial islands, a lot of planning is involved. Nobody ever said, "Golly, maybe we should first think about a proper sewer system before we start building?" That thought literally did not occur to anybody? Not a single human being in the city of Dubai thought that maybe it would be a good idea NOT to have poop truck carrying ten thousand pounds of shit out of Dubai every single day?

Here are the details. If you do not believe me, go to the video featured at the end of this blog. Drivers rent poop trucks. That's right, I said poop trucks. They make their money by each visit to the worlds tallest building, and other large buildings. The more buildings they cyphen poop from, the more money the driver makes. Each truck carries up to ten thousand (10,000) gallons of human shit.

They are required by law to empty their tanks at a designation sanitation station. The problem is that with the population boom, and the amount people poop every day the drivers end up waiting in poop truck lines for days. These poor drivers have to camp in their poop trucks before reaching the sanitation facility. They resort to dumping the contents into man holes or on the side of the road. The excrement goes into the earth, ground water, and onto the beaches. After dumping the excrement, they race back to Dubai and fill up the tanks with another ten thousand pounds of poop. It is a vicious cycle, I mean...this shit never ends.(pun intended)

You know why these brilliant billionaires build all of these super tall buildings, hotels, and luxury condominiums without a decent sewer? There are no awards for having the fastest, coolest, most efficient sanitary system. People do not "ooh" and "ahh" over a great sewer, but they will go "ohh" and "ahh" because the Prince genetically engineered his pet sharks to glow in the dark.

Feminists pissed off over Big Bang Theory Rape Joke

I thought that this was worth noting, but Rebecca Watson and many of the Tumblr feminists have their panties in a bunch over the latest episode of the Big Bang Theory. First, lets watch what these people are pissed off about before we get all up in arms too.

Now that we had a chance to watch the episodes. (Note: there are two clips worth watching, the one I embedded above, and the one linked HERE.) I watched both episodes, then went to Becky's twitter account to see if she was saying the outlandish things everyone claims she is saying.

A critique of John The Other -

On Tuesday, September 18th 2012, John the Other posted a Blog entitled Attacking Male Sexuality. He previously accused me of skimming over, and not actually reading one his blogs about Marc Lepine. I did read his Marc Lepine article. But since he has no way of knowing what I did or did not read, I will not take it personally.

Today, I am enthusiastically responding to that accusation by reading another one of his blogs and conducting an analytically write-up. I conducted a random search for his blogs and discovered this one, Attacking Male Sexuality. It was the first blog that I found, there is no reason I selected this blog over any others.

In the past, I found that some MRA writers and members to be no different from radical feminists. They tend to start off with good ideas, then wander off into the land of conspiracy theories and paranoia. I approached John's above mentioned blog with the intention of being just as fair to him as I would any of the feminists. I approach his blog with the same blunt honesty that I would approach any other person.

After reading John's essay, I end up concluding that his blog contains some good points. I will prove he makes some horrible points, lacks research, and leaves many loose ends. With a  combination of unanswered questions, bad stylistics, dichotomous thinking, he ends up shooting himself in the foot.

To set the tone of this analysis, I will be looking John's blog from a few different angles. I will look at the specific ideas, and examine what evidence he presents backing up those claims. I will look at his sources, and ask if he is simply regurgitating the opinions of other like minded people, or is he relying on peer reviewed, double blind studies. Finally, I will examine how effectively he communicates his message.

To start off, we should first make a concise definition of Conspiracy Theory. With a clear definition of conspiracy theory we will achieve two things. First, we will be able to identify whether or not John's relies on any conspiracy theory in his blog. This is necessary because clarity is the counterbalance of profound thoughts. A person can have a million profound thoughts, but if they cannot clearly express them, then their ideas cannot amount to anything concrete. Second, we will be fair to John. A person should not accuse him of being a conspiracy theorist when his arguments do not clearly meet the definition of conspiracy theory.

Oxford English Dictionary Defines Conspiracy Theory as: a belief that some covert but influential organization is responsible for an unexplained event. I am not sure if I am okay with that definition, because some events have clear explanations  like 911. We know Osama Bin Laden is responsible, we have evidence to support that conclusion, but there are still conspiracy theories that 911 was an inside job. Perhaps this definition would work: A belief that some covert, but influential organization secretly plan and carry out a harmful act. Wikipedia offers a similar definition: A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization or, more broadly, the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the public. I am happy with the Wikipedia definition because it is more specific and comprehensive than any other definition of conspiracy theory that I have seen so far. That is the definition I will use in this examination.

So lets begin....

Got Demons?

Two years ago a Christian, Larry Wilson, wrote an extensive blog explaining why people become possessed by demons. What’s more, is that he produces a wealth of Bible verses backing up his claim that demons are real and out to get you. I must admit that I love it when the Christians produce Biblical evidence proving that Demonic possessions are real, slavery is morally justified, and god hates homosexuals. They really make my job a lot easier.

As I painfully read the mumbo-jumbo, I couldn’t help but laugh the lunacy of it all. The study of demons and demonic possessions is as meaningful as studying the magical power of unicorns. I hope my readers appreciate how painful it is for me to sit down and read this load of hogwash. I mean, the insanity of it all literally has a physical effect on me.

The author explains that demonic possession comes about when a person becomes more sinful. The demon jumps into their body, making the evil-doer even naughtier. He explains that when people commit horrible crimes, it is often because they are possessed by a demon and cannot help themselves.

The issue was How Does a Person Become Demon Possessed? After all, this is a serious problem. Right in Milan Italy, the Catholic church were getting so many requests from disgruntled parents that they set up an exorcism hotline. I understand that parents can be in denial that their kids are brats. But I do not see how it is better to say, "my kid shoplifted because he was possessed by a devil."

Seven Simple Rules

Seven Simple Rules

See the counterpart >> 8 Rules to being an Atheism+ Feminist <<

Lesson One: You are a victim
As long as you have a penis, you do not have to take responsibility for anything that you do. Feminist have been oppressing men for decades. You are completely powerless in your life. No mater what happens - it is not your fault.

Lesson Two: You have no power over your reproduction
Never forget that you have no reproductive rights. Condoms are a feminist invention created to trick you into thinking that you have power over where your sperm ends up. Vasectomies are also a big lie, and always fail. The entire system is rigged against you.

Lesson Three: Misogyny does not exist
Women invented words like: cunt, bitch, slut and whore - and ensured that there would be no male counterpart to those words, for the sole purpose of creating the illusion that misogyny is real. Remember even if it looks misogynist it isn't because misogyny is not real. There is probably an elaborate, overly complicated explanation involving the Illuminati. Just remember, women do not have a hard time in life because they are women.

PZ Meyers, another lesson in lazy blogging

¨A lesson in Lazy Blogging Part Deux ¨

In another shockingly lazy blog, Paul Zachary Myers slammed everyone who is not a feminist, stating they are no better than mass murderer, woman-hating Marc Lépine who targeted, and executed several women at the École Polytechnique de Montréal. It is obvious that PZ Meyers did not read my last blog about him, and has no intention to improve his writing, critical thinking, or one dimensional analysis of the facts. He has once again published an overly simplistic, brazenly superficial blog, calling all of us (those who do not subscribe to his brand of feminism) a bunch of lunatics who secretly want to embark in a murderous rampage against women.

Back Ground
Marc Lépine ( Gamil Rodrigue Liass Gharbi) was born to Canadian woman, Monique Lépine and Algerian father.  His father was authoritarian, jealous, possessive, abusive and contemptuous of women, treating his mother like a secretary and slapping her in the face anytime her writing had a typo. Sr. Gharbi believed that women were only intended to serve men. He was neglectful, cruel and abusive towards his son.

After severely beating his son so badly that the boy had welts all over his body for a week, the mother finally left her husband and filed for divorce. Gamil changed his name to Marc Lépine out of hatred for his father.

Through the Eyes of the Men's Rights Activist

These last few days I have been thinking about why I dislike the MRA and Feminists so much.  Although I agree with the points that both groups bring, at the end of the day, it is the things they share three annoying traits.

1. I am a victim of circumstance, I am being oppressed by 'the other', and there is nothing I can do about it except bitch about it online.

2. I am socialized. My behavior is beyond my control because of this socialization.

3. People do not appreciate how powerful 'the other' is in life.

In a full circle, we see the MRA and Feminists making the same pity-whoring arguments. I would like to be clear that I am for equality - that means treating people equal. I do not expect men to do something that women are unwilling to do. I take men's issues seriously, and I take women's issues seriously. The life of a man is as valuable to me as the life of a woman. It is not 'fence-sitting' to value BOTH genders. Who the hell said on must take a side? If both sides are wrong or unfair, I am not taking anyone's side.

I have been picking on the feminists a lot, and only started on the MRA. Today I found the most hilarious video. It made me think that this is how the MRA see life. Just watch the video.

I have a confession to make

I am a hoarder.

The first image that comes to mind might be that I my house is filled precious trinkets, garbage to the world yet precious to me. Or maybe you might think that my closet is full of shoes that I never wear. Perhaps I convinced myself that I will wear them someday.

None of those things. My house is reasonably clean (considering I have two boys). I weed out my closet regularly and hate having useless crap around the house.

The image above is taken from my account at the local public library. I  check out a lot of audiobooks, months worth of audiobooks. As I read to my children everyday, you will see some children's books. The other items are all books on CD. The Swedish and Mandarin Chinese are already on my I-pod. I am listening to the unabridged version of Steve Pinker: Better Angels. This book is about how our world is much safer and less violent than the past. I also have Steve Pinker: the language instinct. A book about grammar, success in business, religion, and another on the study of bones.

Terrorists Use Rectal IED

Image from Foreign Policy
Zinna Jones of Free Thought Blogs wrote a zippy response to a clip by The Young Turks, Lady-boys in the Middle East. The clip discussed a news piece published by Foreign Policy, exposing horrific human right violations, rape and torture, of transgender sex workers in Dubai.

Islamic Gulf nations pride themselves on their religious conservatism, yet seem to have an astonishing demand for transgender sex work. These ladies are earning up to a thousand dollars a day from Arab clients.  Even though it is incredibly dangerous, commercial sex workers travel from southeast Asia travel to the Gulf.

Whats in a word?

This blog is long over due. With all the hootenanny over Feminism: what people think it is and what it is not - the videos and blogs lead me to reflect about the definition of feminism as well as the definition of MRA.

Most of my readers know that I do not like the Free Thought Blogger "feminism". I find them a bunch of whiny crybabies who enjoy being victims. I bashed the FTB feminists, PZ Meyers, and posted several troll-y images making fun of them. Today, I went to AVoiceForMen, read some blogs, read some comments and the experience left me feeling icky.  It is time to set the record straight about both of these groups. I am not a fence-sitter, that is a person who refuses to take a side. My position is different from that, I am stating that I do not like BOTH groups. I also reject the idea that one must conform to one ideology or another. I would rather be an individual than be a sheep.

Discourse Should Use Clear Words

Feminism's general definition...and I would like to stress the word general definition, is that feminism is a philosophy that supports the right and equality of women. Over centuries, women have been exploited by men. Today, and all around the world, women live as second class citizens. Therefore, the need for organizations that will defend the rights of women, liberate them, and free them is a real need. Christopher Hitchens once said, that the best way to fight poverty is for the liberation of women. There was a time in American history Westerners needed feminism. This was a time we needed it so that families could be stronger and more adaptable to a changing world. In the process western women and men expanded feminism into various disciplines ranging from sociology, economics, anthropology, gender studies, literature, art, philosophy and psychology. In trying to answer everything, the definition of feminism succeeds at answering nothing.

Mississippi still the seventh layer of hell

Always Read The Fine Print

Yahoo News published an article today discussing the most unhealthy places for women to live in The United States.

The study was multi-factored, including things such as breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers. The study considered smoking habits, obesity, rape, domestic violence and poor healthcare. They also considered life expectancy.

As usual, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky  Alabama are consistently the worst places for women to live.

What is bad for women is also bad for men. If women do not fare well in this Hell we call Mississippi, I do not see how men will do much better. Of course, one  must keep in mind that within Mississippi there are  differences in class, education, and wealth. A wealthy woman from Mississippi would fare much better than a poor woman in Vermont. Regardless, Mississippi comes up as the worst, most ignorant, must unhealthy, most obese, most shitty place to live.

Cult of Dusty posted a funny video about Mississippi.

Insecure people going crazy

MrRepzion posted a great video today talking about a hellish experience he had with an ex-girlfriend. I think that any person who has dated more than five years can relate to his story. I can certainly relate, and posted a video response

My Ancestor Elizabeth Kemmish II

Up Mississippi by Packetship "Illinois"
January 1853

The story of my ancestor Elizabeth takes a significant turn January 1853. Elizabeth, her parents and family bid fair-well to Captain Kerr and some of the other Golconda passengers. With a baby sister only days old, the family boarded a packet ship called "Illinois".

This cargo ship took the family up the Mississippi River to Keokuk, Iowa. Joseph Smith had been dead for nine years.

"We lay three days at New Orleans. We then took passage up the river on a steamer. We were six days and one night in getting to St. Louis. That day we changed vessels and started for Keokuk. Next night we landed at Keokuk so our sailing was done with. We lay three days at Keokuk and then started for the plains. Such bad roads I have never seen. We went 13 miles from Keokuk and lay over. We lightened up and burnt boxes and goods. I threw away about 100 pounds of clothing, etc.

On Sunday, about twenty of us went across the Mississippi River to Nauvoo. We saw the ruins of the Saints' homes, the ruins of the Temple and we visited the Nauvoo Mansion. We saw Mr. Bidamon, the man who married Emma Smith. We saw Lucy Smith, the Prophet's mother, and also Emma. We also saw his three sons, Joseph, Frederick, and David. David was then in his 9th year and Joseph was 21. We also saw Mr. Bidamon's little girl about the same age as David. They were all playing together about the house." - James Rieie,

In Keokuk Iowa, the Kemmish family and my sixteen year old 4x great-grandmother prepared to make a 1400 mile march to Utah.

8 Rules To Atheism Plus

Eight simple lessons to becoming the great Atheism+'er. Follow these simple rules and the world is your oyster.

Lesson One: Use Resources Wisely
If you are angry at someone because they said something you do not like, be passive-aggressive and post your complaints on blogs and twitter. That way, your minions can do your fighting for you, while you cower behind your fan club.

Lesson Two: Never forget that all men want to rape you.
It is important that you constantly remind men that most rapes are committed by men. That way, they will feel guilty about having a penis in the first place. If they feel bad about being men, then it is easier for you to get what you want from them.

Lesson Three: Take all internet comments seriously

If some nameless, faceless internet troll says something mean to you, you should make sure the whole world knows that you are being threatened, and that you have a stalker. People will feel sorry for you and rush to your side with a box of chocolates and Kleenex.

My ancestor - Elizabeth Kemmish part I

SouthSea - home of my ancestors
When I was nine years old my grandmother took me to a nursing home to visit her mother. My great grandmother, (little grandma as we called her) was frail and unresponsive. She was short and had thin, short snow white hair.  My grandmother told me that she would not understand me if I spoke to her, but that I should touch her hands.

"She will know you love her when you hold her hands. She cannot understand you, but she will feel your touch."

I looked at my great grandmothers hands. Her skin was transparent, wrinkled and thin. I never did touch her hands.

A few years later my great grandmother died in Washington State. Her funeral was uncomfortable. The minister talked about her life and my grandmother was upset because he got a few things wrong. Then an old man got up and started to sing horribly. I mean - that singing was really, really, really bad. Me, my sister and our cousin Vincent started laughing at what a bad singer this man was. We were children, and controlling our urge to laugh at that moment was unbearable.

My grandmother was devastated by the loss of her mother. She took post mortum photographs.  She said that of all the death and loss in her life, the loss of her mother hit her the hardest. My grandmother told me that her mother was deeply religious, but also suffering from paranoia all her life. They were poor...very poor. Marie did not own a pair of shoes until she married.

Re-articulating the Conservative Party

On election night, Meghan McCain, tweeted, "my party has to evolve or it is going to die."

That turned out to be the most popular tweet in the two year history of her account. I agree with Ms. McCain on this issue, the Republican party must evolve or it will die. The country has changed, demographics have changed, and no matter what - they need votes to win elections.

Sixty-six percent of single women voters voted for Obama. Think about that number for a moment. Now, think about the rhetoric we have been hearing Republicans lately. Rape, homosexuals, abortion, welfare, and social policies that are not the governments business.

The fact is that most Americans are not on the Republican side when it comes to social policies.  They have been discussing gay sex, abortion, birth control, 'legitimate'rape vs 'illegitimate' rape. They call women whores, they call Obama a foreign born Muslim. Then, Republicans pundits insult the voter by saying only reason voters turn to the Democrat party is because they want free stuff. They say Obama just gives away free stuff to people, and we are all a bunch of lazy moochers.

Let me put it that way, as long as voters hear that rhetoric, the Republican party should not expect to win elections anytime soon. Their party must evolve, and speak to the people if they want to get votes. If the Republican party does not evolve, they will be replaced by the Libertarian party. They must decide if they want to be the Republican party of Abraham Lincoln or Republican party of Glenn Beck.

It is all fine and dandy to advocate for an ideology, after all, diverse opinions and challenging perspectives are the stuff that make people smarter. The problem is that they are on the wrong side. Americans are not on their side anymore. As time goes on, the Republicans will have fewer and fewer people on their side. Voters are not crusty old white men that smell like Old Spice and BenGay. The face of voters are women, Hispanics and African Americans.  Slowly but surely, the crusty old men will die off. The red necks will be here to replace them, but minorities are having more babies than whites. The face of the American voter has changed. They need to stop talking about rape babies, abortion, and entitled brats who want handouts from the government. They need to stop pandering to the church, because guess what, in the last ten years the atheist population grew from six to fifteen percent. Republicans will have to get it, change, or evolve into a new party.

Femanon writes about rape fantasies

When I read comments, I make a good faith effort to understand what the person is trying to say, and put it in the appropriate context. You saw me do this earlier when I discussed Karl Marx's infamous expression, "religion is the opium of the masses." It is worth noting that my desire to understand the radical feminists is sincere. The above comment was taken from Femanon's blog. Herein, she plainly states that women do not have much say in what they enjoy sexually because women have been permanently shaped by their first sexual images. She claims sexuality is formed from one's first sexual images, which for most women will be pornography, sex in movies or rape.

Femanon - Barley Legal White Girl Gone Radical

Image from Femanon's Blog

Today I watched a video posted by John the Other, entitled "Pee Zed Fails Challenge." Before he gets into the point of his video, discussing nemesis PZ Myers, he directs viewers to a feminist website Radical Hub. I stopped reading feminist literature when I stopped reading Cosmo magazine, admittedly I am not up to date on feminist issues anymore because they just started to sound like the same thing over and over again. I randomly selected a blog to read and I am writing about it.

The blog was about how men reduced women to a body part - the vagina, and, men think the vagina is always ready for penetration any time, day or not, sleeping or awake. There were many buzz words, catchy constructions and strongly put ideas that really captivated my mind. Here is one you all might enjoy. "The entire construction of woman, as men have created it, is based on vaginas being holes, and women being only vaginas" Errr...I do declare! Got your attention didn't I? It gets better, get a load of this one, "The vagina is the central part of our sexuality, as men see it. (And because we’re taught the male perspective, women see it this way too.)  I’ve never even heard of a man touching a woman’s bits without fingering her." If that is not enough to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, it gets even better. "But of course, men’s asses are closed.  Gay men who bottom are not asked to have their asses pryed open annually to ensure their health. "

Religion is as Religion Does

In 1843, Karl Marx said, “Religion is the opium of the masses.” This quote is often misunderstood, but rarely misused. When we read the actual quote, it sounds a bit different. “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.”

When reading the proceeding sentence, we see that Karl Marx is describing what religion does, rather what it is. In that particular quote, Marx does not say religion is a narcotic, doping people into stupid submission. Rather, he says religion does something; it makes the world a more bearable place to live for oppressed, heartless, soulless world and people.

Duplicitous US voting system

American voting polls needs to be revamped. In first world democracies, the people know the votes almost immediately  Ballots are counted rapidly, accurately and only once in a blue moon do people suspect voter fraud, political fraud, or voter suppression. I hope that I am not the only person who finds it just a bit...odd...that in this country the Republican party have 'scouts'out watching for voter fraud, while the Democrats have 'scouts'out watching the Republican 'scouts'whose anterior motive may be to suppress voters.

Mental Slavery - free your mind and the rest will follow

Islamic Slavery to Slave Morality
In order to understand how religion enslaves the mind, we must examine two types of morality as described by Friedrich Nietzsche in Beyond Good And Evil. In most of the modern world, we do not live as masters and slaves to other individuals, however the two systems still exist in our minds.  Although this rule applies to other monotheistic religions, this essay is concerned only with Islam. Islam created a world view where Muslims are proud to be slaves and consider slavery to be a noble institution.

The image that comes to mind is the image of an African slave, happily picking cotton because he knows that being a slave is a good thing. The image is enough to break the heart of any civilized person.

What we are about to examine, Slave Morality vs. Master Morality  As we examine these two concepts, one can easily understand how Muslims around the world are slaves in their mind, and slaves with every breath they inhale.

According to Nietzsche, Slave morality is absolutely everywhere. Anytime someone grounds his or her morality on what the Master does, this is slave morality. Although slaves and masters do not exist in modern times, human beings still exist within the two moral systems. Slaves are only able to do precisely what their masters tell them. Their master dominates a slave’s entire life. Therefore, slaves think about morality in terms of their masters. In the position of a slave, where everything they do is for the master, they will come to resent their master. In some countries, slaves hate their masters to the degree that they equate everything about their Masters as evil. Slaves believe everything Masters Value to be equally evil. Moral evil enters the picture in slave morality, as a form of resentment for the master. Anything the master values the slave will hate. Slaves define morality entirely in terms of the ‘evil’ master.

Twenty-four years ago today, Gerald Rivera gave birth to Trash TV

November 3, 1988

I remember that day very well. I was in elementary school. Talk show host Geraldo Rivera was all over the evening news with a broken nose. We could not believe it! A fight...a real fight on daytime television.

We were talking about it for days. The episode involved anti-racist skinheads, white supremacists, black and Jewish activists. A confrontation between John Metzger and Roy Innis ensued. Metzger called Innis an Uncle Tom. (A black man who will do anything to stay in good standing with "the white man" including betray his own people ) The guests ended up in a full-out brawl with chairs hurled, punches and kicks thrown. Audience, stage hands and Geraldo himself got involved, Rivera threw a few good punches at the white supremacist.

One of the racists punched Rivera in the face, smashing his nose. Rivera did not press charges because he did not want to be "tied up with the roaches" (meaning white supremacists.) We were shocked when it happened.

Honey Boo Boo is child abuse

I have a very high tolerance, and a pretty strong stomach. As a, scratch a human being, I am disgusted that people are watching this crap. That poor little girl is being exploited by her own mother. Someday, that little girl is going to grow up. Someday, she will be a teenager. How is she going to feel then?

Why the West Rules - for Now

Today I started downloading a large audio book to my I-Pod, Why the West Rules - for Now. This heavy book was written by Ian Morris, read by Antony Ferguson. According to Amazon reviews, it spanks fifty thousand years of history and offers fresh insights on human development on nearly every page. People are also saying that it is deeply researched and brilliantly argued.

Right now many worry that China and India spells the end of the West as a superpower. There is a real possibility that India and China will be the next superpowers. To understand what is happening, we need to look back in time and understand why the West became the superpower in the first place. Readers are saying that the book reveals differences of race, culture, individual striving  geography, and populations explaining why the West dominates. As geography and human ingenuity continue to interact, the world will change in astonishing ways.

Reply Ophelia Benson:

When I started doing the YouTube thing in late 2006 I was not sure what I wanted to do. I heard about YouTube somewhere in the news, so I went online and checked it out. Let me just say this, almost immediately I loved it. There were not too many of us back in those days. We got away with a lot more than we do today.

It's okay if it was normal back then - Islam condones Slavery

Argument from Cultural Relativism
It has been my experience that when confronted with a negative point of view, one of the arguments Muslims can rely on is the argument from cultural relativism. This argument holds that human values, far from being universal, vary according to time, historical norms, and cultural perspectives. Apologetics  claim that slavery in the Quran is morally okay because it was normal back in those days. Slavery was certainly a cultural norm back when human beings authored the Quran. No one can ever negate this fact. They are saying we should not juxtapose modern standards of morality in today’s society, with the customs and life styles practiced in Arabia fourteen hundred years ago. Muslims admit that moral values today are not in harmony with the moral values practiced by Muhammad or outlined in the Quran. In their opinion Muhammad’s tendency to acquire slaves, regard women as spoils of war and marry little girls must be viewed within the context of Arabia at that time.

I accepted my immature side a long time ago

I know...I know... I am a juvenile. I accept it. But you know what, we have only one life and I enjoy being a little kid once in awhile. We can't be grown-ups all the time.

Do not play by their rules - Islam and Slavery

Do not play by someone elses rules.

Frame The Debate Appropriately
When attacking the problem of Islamic slavery, pay special attention to how Islamic charlatans frame the debate. If the other person controls the language of key issues, they will be able to position themselves in favorable terms. Even though your argument is stronger, their argument will appear stronger only because they know how to use the right semantics. Atheists must gain semantic equality by choosing the appropriate words. Do not engage in a debate when you are forced to play by someone else’s rules. Islamic charlatans will try to control how the debate about slavery is structured, at every turn and opportunity.
Muhammad kidnapped, raped, bought and sold slaves with regularity. When discussing his actions, use the correct words and adjectives to describe them. When you talk about Islamic slavery use the correct words: slave, rape, forced labor, lashings, pain, suffering and humiliation. Do not use words like ‘indentured servitude.’ They were not ‘indentured’ servants – they were slaves. Muslims would like us all to believe that all of Muhammad’s slaves were ‘indentured’ servants.

Ann Coulter •♥•.¸¸.•♥•..

Personally, I think Ann Coulter is an evil witch from the seventh layer of hell. Her research is shoddy, she is manipulating, mean, ugly, barren  and has a heart so cold a Death Valley summer could not melt it. There are very few instances where I agree with this maniacal creature. Most of the time I wish she would just crawl back under that rock from where she was hatched. One of those instances regards the use of the word Retard. Ann Coulter posted the following comment on twitter. She uses the....'r' word and now twitter is ablaze with 'how dare you' 'apologize to my retarded son' etc..etc...

Examination of Muhammad as a slave trader

In Ancient Middle East, Muhammad and his companions regularly sold, captured, freed and bought slaves. Islam’s holy book, the Quran, the perfect, unaltered word of God both sanctions and codifies one of humanities most inhumane realities – slavery. I wrote a five-part essay as part of my book The Atheist Guide to Understanding Islam. That entire essay will be published in this blog over the next two weeks.

This essay will also question the Qurans authorship, Muhammad’s morality and many other muddy issues Muslims either do not know about or choose to ignore. The moment anyone says any unflattering thing about the Quran, know what to expect. Muslims will scream, “That is out of context!” “Respect my religion!” “Do not insult Islam or you will burn in hell!” Unfortunately for them, I do not believe in hell, paradise, Allah, angels, demons, jinns, flying horses or any other magical thing. These threats do not affect atheists. Muslims tell atheists that if we insult Muhammad, after we die an angel will sneak into our grave and pummel us on the head with an iron hammer. They tell us snakes from hell will bite us and we will have to wear clothing spun from flames. Threatening an atheist with ‘hellfire’ because they insulted Muhammad, is about as meaningful as telling us that evil Leprechauns and arrogant Elves will jump into our graves and dance on our foreheads. Threatening us with childish superstition is pointless. I do not speak for all atheists, but many of them find this sort of thing amusing. In short, Islamic superstition is as pepless as biscuits without baking powder. You will not get a rise out of us – except for our laughter.

Parents in Denial

Dorothy Sandusky and Jaqueline Peterson
In late 2008, Jennifer Hudson´s mother, brother, and seven year old nephew were brutally murdered in Chicago.

William Balfour was convicted of those murders and handed three life sentence. He will never be a free man. When it all happened, I remember hearing Balfour´s mother was interviewed by Nancy Grace. The interview was interesting because Madam Balfour concocted an elaborate explanations for questions having simple explanations. Parents in denial often have overly complex stories, explaining why their child is innocent, a victim, and everyone else just does not 'get' all the facts. They want to bog you down with details that are completely irrelevant to whether or not their child did the evil deed. I remember distinctly in the Nancy Grace Interview Madame Balfour said, with such conviction, ¨I know my son could not have done this.¨She was convinced that her son was innocent. I was able to locate the actual YouTube video and featured it to the left.

Jaqueline Peterson, mother of Scott Peterson, to this day thinks her son did not murder his pregnant wife Laci. She currently operates a website trying to collect donations for Scotts appeal. The website is also full of those overly complex arguments previously mentioned.  Jaqueline was invited to appear on the Oprah show to talk about the case after her son's conviction. Jaqueline said that she would appear on the show, only if the show was about how innocent people are falsely convicted. Oprah refused to do that and the show never happened.

This brings us to our newest woman in denial, Dorothy 'Dottie' Sandusky. Her husband Jerry was convicted of forty-five counts of child rape. I listened to the testimony of several victims. It left me feeling nauseated  I literally had a physical reaction to their testimony. Listening to this is not an easy thing to do. I have a great deal of respect for the Judge and Jury who had to sit through that testimony. One of the victims was Sandusky's own adopted son. Delusional Dottie thinks her husband is innocent and went fully throttle conspiracy theory mode.

I am just wondering when she is going to make a "Jerry is Innocent" website and start asking for donations.

Use Food to Curb Population Growth

The world population reached 7 billion. I do not know about anyone else here, but that is not a good thing. I posted a question on Facebook asking my friends how they think we can curb population growth without forcing anybody to do something they do not want to do. The universal answer was education. I am not so sure.

Economics plays a vital role in controlling population growth. Let me put it this way. In countries with a high cost of living, parents are detered from having more than a couple of kids. Children are very expensive. They need diapers, clothing, toys, food, vaccines, dentists, books, playgroups, and a lot more I am forgetting to list. Contrast this with a rural area where they cost of raising a child is low, like rural Pakistan, India, Ethiopia or China. Children in these countries have minimal education and contribute greatly working on the farm. In rural countries there is an incentive to have babies, especially males, because they can work for the family.

Why I think FTB Women are being sexually harassed

Are these women being hit on as much as they claim?

Jen McCreight and Rebecca Watson claim that they are constantly victims of sexual harassment and street harassment, especially in the ever-so-dangerous Seattle Washington. I am convinced these women are being hit on and something must be done to stop it! Today we are going to closely examine the following concerns - the hotness factor - attainability factor - and game theory. When we understand these three concepts, we will understand why every penis in the room gravitates to these three women.

Buy Designer Sperm While Supplies Last

There is a saying that we can tell everything about a culture by what is going on in their media, websites and advertisements. I wish I could say that I am shocked, but with the way our culture has changed in last fifteen years, the fact is that I am not shocked at all.

Fame Daddy is a new sperm donor website offering women the golden opportunity to breed with a superstar. The site Fame Daddy claims to have about forty high achievers across many fields, including rock stars, geniuses, and football players.

Families Upset Because A Psychic Lied To Them

In Yahoo News, I came across this interesting story entitled Psychic Devastates Missing Student's Family

Con Artist
"Harsha Maddula, a Northwestern University pre-medical student from Long Island, N.Y., went missing Sept. 22, last seen leaving an off-campus party in Illinois. Police and volunteer searchers were unable to find him, but Maddula's family said reassuring words from psychics had raised their spirits.
Apparently, psychics contacted by the Maddula family's relatives in India said Harsha was okay and would be found: "He's still alive. Don't worry.'"
The next day, however, Maddula's body was found in Wilmette Harbor near his dormitory. "
There will always be "psychics" fueling false hope among grieving families. When people are desperate, they will be willing to believe or do just about anything to have any hope. Today I had to think about what, if any, our obligations are to protect people from charlatans practicing quackery...

PZ Myers: a lesson in lazy blogging

¨A lesson in Lazy Blogging¨

Paul Zachary Myers slammed The Amazing Atheist for posting the following image on his Tumblr.
After carefully reading PZ´s blog and dozens of comments posted about TJ´s image, and I realized this topic warrants a discussion. Remember that old expression: a picture paints a thousand words. The expression literally means that a picture tells us just as much of a story as any elaborate text. When we consider TJ´s image, one should see a greater meaning behind it. Thinking is a skill and some are better at it than others. I only ask people to see past the jerk holding the paper, but instead look deeper into the meaning of this image. In doing so, one will find PZ Myers argument to be both superficial and lazy. TJ is certainly no saint, but he deserves to be understood just as much as we all deserve to be understood.

I got Ninety-nine Problems But a B<<<< Ain't One

Elizabeth Escalda, aged 23 was sentenced to ninety-nine years for child abuse. She beat her toddler, and glued the girls hands to the wall. Apparently this woman was previously investigated by Texas child protective services. This 23 year old woman had five children. All of whom have been placed with their maternal grandmother.

Before I say what I am about to say on this matter, I want to be poignantly clear that Escalda is an evil human being who does not deserve to be a mother, let alone be allowed to even keep her ovaries. The District Attorney offered her forty-five years, an offer she turned down only to get ninety nine years.

Davis Aurini - Why Beating Women is Okay

After writing my first blog about the Monster Davis M.J. Aurini - The Canadian Taliban, I discovered a few more things about him. First, his drugs of choice are alcohol and LSD. I guess this is one stumbling block in the road to becoming the next, greatest Islamic Fundamentalist. The Quran strictly prohibits alcohol. Two, he had been accused of beating up his ex girlfriend and giving her a bloody nose. Islam does allow wife beating, so maybe Aurini does have a chance at joining the cult. The article I am referring to appeared in The Calgary Sun: Assaulting Estranged Girlfriend. <--- LINK

Aurini was acquitted of beating up his ex girlfriend. The Judge found that it was most likely self-defense. At first glance, I agreed with the Judges ruling. Below is a segment of the above linked article that appeared online:

My dream Halloween costume

For the last three years I toyed with the idea about a Halloween costume that I would like to design for myself. I know some say Halloween is just for kids. Fiddlesticks! To all those nay-sayers.

Halloween is for everybody to dress up and have fun. I love Halloween. My philosophy is that the best costumes are the ones that require an explanation.

Every political system has good points

Why is it people view the world and politics in absolute terms, either an idea is all good or all bad? The only time people always something is when they breathe. Even then there may be some exceptions. There are as many schools of thought in the world as there are colors in the  rainbow. Some of them have more flaws then others, none of them are perfectly good. My problem is this - why is it so difficult for people to pick and choose what they like? It is perfectly okay to do it. I vote Democrat but....that does not mean that I believe everything Dems say. I do have a few Republican values. I have a few Socialist values and a few Capitalist ones too. It does not mean that a person is an means that a person is an independent thinker.

Ode to Aaron Clarey - the World´s Biggest Mangina

Mangina and Aurini welcome their newest e-book to the world.

Ode To Aaron Clarey

I have the distinct honor of introducing you to Aaron Clarey. ( a.k.a Mangina)

Aaron posted an important video which has been viewed by over 1200 people. A few words about Aaron. First, he was previously employed on the Board of Trustees at several Accredited Universities He also has previous experience in University Accreditation. As you can tell, these are very important jobs.

While working on the Board of Trustees and carefully overlooking the accreditation standards in The United States of America, Aaron personally calculated the reading requirements for several different disciplines including Physics, Engineering, Mathematics. Then he meticulously compared them to the reading requirements for disciplines such as English, Sociology, Psychology, History, Art and several other humanities. You see, Aaron is all about fairness. He understands that one hour of Shakespeare is just as difficult as one hour of Physics. He is an honest person, and respects the unique abilities of all people. Aaron collected data proving, without a doubt that Physics 101 is more work than Anthropology 101. Aaron found that Mathematics 322 required more work for the average Joe, than Italian 322. He found that the coursework for all of the humanities and arts were significantly easier than engineering. Those classes contained fewer assignments, easier tests, and sometimes the professors just let the students sleep in class.

Happy Blasphemy Day!

Today is the day we treat religious people like adults, and tell them that their religions are all entirely made up.
Today is the day that atheist around the world are encouraged to openly express criticism and/or disdain for any religion of your choice. Why? Because every belief is subject to criticism.
Ronald Lindsay, president and CEO of the Center for Inquiry said regarding Blasphemy Day, "We think religious beliefs should be subject to examination and criticism just as political beliefs are, but we have a taboo on religion," in an interview with CNN. The day was set on September 30, to coincide with the anniversary of the publication of satirical drawings of Muhammad in one of Denmark's newspapers, resulting in the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy.
According to USA Today's interview with Justin Trottier, a Toronto coordinator of Blasphemy Day, "We're not seeking to offend, but if in the course of dialogue and debate, people become offended, that's not an issue for us. There is no human right not to be offended."
Events worldwide on the first annual Blasphemy Day in 2009 included an art exhibit in Washington, DC and a free speech festival in Los Angeles. Blasphemy Day was also widely discussed across the web and covered by several media outlets.
What will Naomi contribute to blasphemy day?
I am not going to make any effort to out-do anyone else. What I will do is state the following:
1. Faith = Gullible
2. There is no evidence Jesus existed
3. There is no evidence that any gods are real.
4. Muhammad was a mentally ill, blood thirsty, plagiarizing head-case in dire need of an anti-psychotic medication.

I could say a lot more but I would rather not because there are so many others who say it much better than I do. Instead I will repost some of my favorite blasphemous images.
